Notes
A week on foot, walking short sections of quiet country. The subject was less the land itself and more the small buildings sitting in it.
Route
- Two days along one valley
- A day further up country
- A final day closer to the train line
Approach
Hand-held, medium format. The decision on each frame was not where to stand but when to press, waiting for the cloud to soften the tones.

- Medium-format rangefinder, 80mm lens
- Ilford FP4 Plus, rated at 125
- Developed in Ilfotec DDX
- Scanned at 2400 dpi
Outcome
Small, stacked, still standing
Each frame was a half day of waiting for the light to come around. The subjects themselves never moved.
