Three frames from a long summer drive, shot from wherever the road allowed a shoulder.
Notes
A short drive across open country over a long summer day. Stopped wherever a shoulder allowed and the light was willing.
Conditions
- Overcast through the morning
- Wind dropping from mid-afternoon
- Flat light holding well into the evening
Approach
Hand-held for most frames, tripod only when the water was still. Kept exposures short to preserve the flat tonal range without forcing it.

- Scanned at 2400 dpi
Outcome
Green, in grey
The colour never quite read the way it looked. Monochrome was closer to how the day actually felt.
